You can load and save snapshots of the Spectrum's memory and register state. This allows saving and restoration of the emulated machine between sessions.
The format of the save file is the .SNA format (or Mirage format). You can download software in this format to run on the emulator from the Internet (see Fig. 8).

To load a snapshot, either press the "Load" button or select "Load Snapshot..." from the file menu. Choose the snapshot file and click OK. The emulator will start the program immediately.
The procedure for saving a snapshot is similar, select "Save" from the debugger toolbar and enter a name for the file (with a .sna extension). Click OK to save the snapshot.
